Britain’s manufacturing industry remains essential to the country’s continued success.  Overall, the sector employs millions of highly skilled people, produces over half of all UK exports and drives innovation.  It is also the UK’s biggest investor in business Research and Development.

At Ceejay we’re playing our part to meet the Government’s aim to increase manufacturing in the UK by continuing to create jobs, drive growth and boost productivity across the country.

To meet the objectives within our core business strategy, we’re investing heavily in our current and future workforce to ensure that we not only meet our objectives, but also provide the best working environment possible for our employees.  We’re doing this in several ways:

Building on our Workforce

Following the move to much larger premises during 2017, we're aiming to increase our workforce by approximately 15% over time; therefore, providing more jobs and contributing further to the local economy.

Improved management systems

To enable our business to deliver our strategy, we’ve put in place an overall Group Leadership Team, together with a key management team for Production, Design, Sales and Purchasing.

In 2016, we introduced a new appraisal system to help us better understand the needs of our colleagues, and to work with them so that they can reach their full potential.  We believe that the new system will ensure that our employees receive the right level of support to carry out their jobs effectively, help them to work to set objectives; and, give them the opportunity to regularly meet their managers.

Learning and Development

We’re investing in our existing workforce by improving training and career development opportunities. The move to our new offices has provided us with much improved training facilities.  This has enabled us to build on our Group Induction training programme, as well as other training that we provide to employees.  We believe that these initiatives will help our employees to perform to their best within their job roles.  We will also be utilising our training facilities for external training purposes.

Equality and Diversity

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from anyone regardless of ethnic origin, nationality, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability.

We want to live up to our core Values, and we aim to provide a working environment which is free from discrimination of any kind.  We promote fairness and respect for each other in the workplace, and externally with anyone we do business with.  For more about our values please see our Responsible Business section.
